This month was a month of knocking out backlist books! 😄 All thanks to the #24in2024 #bookchallenge competition between reader groups. 😆 I read a record of SIX backlist books plus two bonus books. Now I’m almost halfway to meeting my goal of reading my 24 books! (Not sure how short I fell last year, only that I did not complete my goal.)Out of my 11 books read, here’s the books I’d recommend! Some adorable rom coms and a phenomenal historical romance by Amy Harmon. 😍I love Adrienne Young books and will read anything she writes. This one was good, not my favorite, but good. I’ve been reading so much romance this year with only a rare fantasy so if anyone has some good new recs — send them my way!! Writing this month was pitiful, but sometimes you just need a lot of brainstorming to develop that perfect scene…or in my case, tweaking my existing plot. It requires a lot of brainwork. My initial year goal was to be done with this book by May…don’t think that’ll happen, folks. But we’ll see if I can wrap up a new solid draft enough to allow some beta reads. I’m itching to move on to a new project! (After two months of consistently failing to read a physical book or complete my daily Bible recap, I’ve decided to remove them from my monthly updates.
