I am a thirties-something mama to two beautiful girls and a sweet golden doodle.
I am a wife to a handsome husband who also happens to be my best friend and high school sweetheart.
I am part introvert and part extrovert, making me both shy and yet a people-person. I am also left-handed, but a majority of my tasks are completed using my right-hand. So where does that leave me? Basically, an island of my own unique breed, struggling with my creative whims and Type-A mindset, where 50% of the time I need solitude and the other 50% I want to be surrounded by people, both infusing me with energy and inspiration depending on my mood preference for the day.
Motherhood turned me into one giant marshmallow — almost anything can send me into a fit of crying— commercials, puppies, cheesy movies, babies, any movies with animals, someone else crying, the list goes on and on. BUT I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Some might say I’m really a seventy-year-old trapped in a thirty-something body. A fun evening to me might include: watching a movie with my hubby, crocheting, reading a book, meeting with my book club to discuss our latest read, Bunco with friends, or any other board/card game. No shame in this. I love my life.
I have the extraordinarily unique ability to fall asleep anywhere. Any time.
A great vacation to me is one with gorgeous views. There’s nothing sweeter than appreciating God’s creations. After all, He’s the first and best artist ever. Most anything creative I attempt is because He is my inspiration.
